Dream A Little

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing a card that I designed using two retired Stampin’ Up! sets- Dream A Little and Perfect Petals.  I have not inked either of these stamps up in years and wanted to give them both a little love :-)

I am still having fun playing with the Splitcoaststampers Falliday Fest 2017 Challenges and this card was created for the FF17ShoeGirl “Orange You Glad” Challenge(R=Rich Razzleberry, N=Night of Navy, G= Glitter Pen, Gel Pen, E= Embossing) along with the SCS CC656 "A Razzleberry Night on Bermuda Bay" Color Challenge (dessert option= dies) and the SC29 Sketch Challenge (from 2009- so thankful that the regular challenges at SCS never expire :-)).

If you have not had a chance to check out the challenge sites yet, I encourage you to do so- gorgeous inspiration from all!

To create this card:

1). Ink the Perfect Petals image with Versafine™ Onyx Black ink, stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, apply Clear Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

2). Once the embossing has cooled, using Stampin’ Write Markers- Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry and Night of Navy to color the image.  Trim close to the image, mount onto Night of Navy cardstock, trim and mount onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock, trim and mount onto Bermuda Bay cardstock.

3). Using the Big Shot™ with a stitched Circle Die, die cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Using a plain circle die, die cut a larger circle from Night of Navy and Rich Razzleberry cardstock, split the Rich Razzleberry circle in half, mount behind the Night of Navy die cut circle and mount the Whisper White stitched circle on top.  Add the mounted and stamped floral image to the center.

4). Trim a piece of retired Rich Razzleberry Designer Series Paper, mount onto a piece of Night of Navy cardstock, trim and mount onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  Add the layered strip to a piece of Whisper White cardstock, trim the panel and mount onto a piece of Night of Navy cardstock.

5). Ink the sentiment from Dream A Little using the Bermuda Bay marker, stamp above the horizontal layer and mount the entire panel onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  Trim the panel and mount onto a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, trim once more and mount onto the white card base.

6). Mount the layered circle with dimensional foam, add shimmer to the petals with Clear Wink of Stella® and use the White Gel Pen to add a few highlights to the flower stamens and finish off the card.
